Travelling to Altinkum, the Airport, the transfer
What day is the start of the week regarding renting Villa Mooli?
Most charter flights to Bodrum arrive and depart on a Monday. Therefore, that is the day that rentals start and finish. We will, however, try and be flexible with days, where possible.
What time do we need to depart the villa, when returning home?
As we need to get the villa cleaned thoroughly, we ask all guests to leave the villa by midday on departure day.
How do we obtain the villa keys, when we arrive?
Either our local agent will meet you at the villa and also show you around the place, or your chauffeur will give you the keys and our agent will see you later in the day.
How do we return the keys, when we depart?
You will give them back to the person taking you to the airport.
What is the nearest airport to Altinkum?
Bodrum Milas airport is the closest to Altinkum, with the cheapest fares. Transfer takes about 75 minutes and is arranged by us unless you chose to pick up a car at the airport for your holiday. Transfers are included in the price of the villa. There is also an airport at Izmir, which is about 120-150 minutes away.
Can I buy Duty Free alcohol, cigarettes and perfume at the airport?
Yes - but don't!! Prices are cheaper in Altinkum and the choice is greater. It is also advisable to bring your own food and drink when you go back to the airport for your return journey. A can of coke could possibly cost £3.00. Be Warned!

Where is the nearest shop?
The nearest shop is a 2 minute walk from Villa Mooli. Directions are in the Information Manual, kept at the villa. The shop sells all the basics such as milk and bread (and Beer!).
Where is the nearest supermarket?
There are two or three large supermarkets in the main town centre. You can catch the dolmus, which runs approx every five mins at the end of the main road by the villa (5min walk), or you can ring for a taxi. We would not recommend that you walk, as it is some distance from the villa. Details of how to best get to the supermarkets are in the information manual in the villa.
How far is the nearest beach?
Third Beach is a 5-10 minute walk away. Directions are in the Information Manual, kept at the villa. However, if you are feeling too relaxed to walk, just ring any of the beach bars. It is polite to have a drink in the bar prior to enjoying the beach for the day. When you want to return home, pop into the bar again, have a quick drink and they will return you, free of charge.
How far is the centre of Altinkum, with all the shops and restaurants?
It is a 10-15 minute walk to the start of Altinkum's main resort front. If you don't fancy the walk, ring up one of the restaurants and, so long as you eat there, they will collect you and return you to the villa, free of charge. If taking a taxi be sure to agree the fare prior to entering the taxi.
What if I need to know anything else about the villa or want to see more details now?
The Info manual at the villa tells you everything but you can also take a look here now if you like.

The instruction manuals are on the middle shelf of the cupboard above the cooker. There is also an "Idiots Guide" developed by my wife, for me (!), in the villa manual.
How many people can the villa comfortably sleep?
The villa can actually sleep 11 very comfortably. The 2 sofa beds in the living room are designed to be doubles but we feel in this hot climate they are better off being used as large singles meaning it would be more comfortable for just 9. If so desired the sofa in the basement also converts into a bed similar to those in the living room.

You can, but it is heavily chlorinated and visitors are advised to buy bottled water. It is safe to clean your teeth or wash vegetables.
